2024 Changing Higher Education for Good Conference
Thursday 21st March 2024 | Melbourne VIC
A lot of people are waiting for details and permission about the scope of potential change in the sector. But for major change to happen, we just need good ideas, leadership and action.
— Martin Betts, CEO and Co-Founder, HEDx
Taking place soon after the release of the Australian Universities Accord Final Report, the HEDx Changing Higher Education for Good conference will feature the first significant reactions to the process to date from Australian university leaders.
But there is life after a final report of an Accord and there is a change agenda independent of it! The Conference will also be a focus on the major issues for the sector globally in the areas of equity, innovation and emerging technology.
An esteemed line-up of global and local leaders of sector change include Michael Crow, President of Arizona State University in the US, Ghassan Aouad, Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University in UAE, and David Lloyd, Chair of Universities Australia.
Other Australian leaders include Professor Alwyn Louw and Linda Brown of Torrens University Australia. They extend to Professors Eric Knight of Macquarie Business School and Sherman Young of RMIT. And include Nora Koslowski, Chief Learning Innovation Officer of Melbourne Business School, Andrew Parfitt, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Technology Sydney, Jessica Vanderlelie of La Trobe University, Helen Bartlett, Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Sunshine Coast and Kent Anderson of University of Newcastle.
It will also have out of sector perspectives from SEEK Investments, OES, Adobe, Vygo, L.E.K., FourthRev, NAB and Year 13.
